B3 Designers worked on the interiors and styling for this chic high-end Japanese restaurant in London

Sakagura is a high-end restaurant offer from the Japan Centre Group.

The Look & Feel is dramatic and sleek.

We designed the brand-new high-end restaurant offer from the Japan Centre Group. Sakagura offers extensive sake and shochu menu, as well as Hakata yakitori, sushi, sashimi and hand-made udon and soba noodles.

Designing the overall look of the restaurant to feel dramatic and sleek, we concentrated on rich and dark materials, such as Shou Sugi Ban charred timber with statement lighting.

We drew on the Wabi-sabi philosophy of honest beauty within the finishes and materials that we designed throughout the space.

We celebrated the journey of age within our textures, such as patina, within our material choices.

Light and shadows were carefully considered to interplay, resulting in the subtleties of both being enhanced. In the central pergola, this was exceptionally explored.
