The Big Dog At Marriott
- Brand Identity, Berlin
B3 Designers designed the brand identity, logo, menus, packaging, and other collateral for The Big Dog located within the Marriott in Berlin.
The Concept, brand & identity
Marriott Berlin approached B3 Designers to create a complete brand concept and complementary interior for a new restaurant and takeaway destination centred around two simple things: sausages and beer.
Our brief was to create a bright, open and playful destination that would appeal equally to hotel guests, tourists and Berliners, offering a modern take on one of Germany’s most iconic foods.
With the freedom to have some fun, we put the sausage at the heart of the concept, creating The Big Dog, a distinctive brand character with a jovial personality that shaped the identity, tone of voice and customer experience.
TYING BRANDING AND INTERIORS TOGETHER
Our branding and interior teams worked closely together to create a cohesive visual language. A bold hot-dog-inspired palette of ketchup reds, mustard yellows, pinks and whites was balanced with blue accents and black detailing. Red concrete floors, an undyed concrete bar and striking coloured tiles brought the graphic identity into the physical space.
From the name and logo through to menus, packaging, uniforms, paperware, mural artwork, stationery and digital assets, we created the brand from the ground up, supported by comprehensive guidelines for its future development.
Bold, playful and unmistakably Berlin – a brand designed to make sausages the star of the show.
