B3 Designers worked with Benedikt Taschen, 3f Architects and Philippe Starck to create the interior of the Taschen store on Duke of York Square. Opposite the new Saatchi gallery, the shop also comprises of an exhibition space in the basement.
Installing onto an existing site, the project had to be turned around in a very short time. The fit out was completed in four weeks.
The design incorporates a glass balustrade, which leads down from the shop floor to the exhibition space. Bookstands are made of cast bronze, formed in an abstract tree-trunk-like design. Fine white curtains surround the space, made by Silent Gliss and with fabric supplied by JAB.
