Alloro, London
Designing a restaurant interior which would attract a discerning, sophisticated, Mayfair community. This was our challenge with Alloro.
Our brief was to create a chic and timeless Milanese-inspired interior, suitable for business lunches as well as intimate dinners.
When we’re designing a restaurant interior we often find one motif that inspires the entire look. In this case it was the Alloro – Italian for bay leaf - which we used throughout the space.
Bay leaves were carved into the customised concrete panels, creating highly textured wall finishes. And an edge lit glass panel, with an illuminated frosted bay leaf and logo, was placed in the reception area.
Inspired by the sensual foods that are Alloro’s specialities, we used blonde and caramel woods throughout, mixed with red and chocolate leather seating.
With circular booths and discreet corners, we gave Alloro a touch of elegant old world glamour. And created a stylish meeting place which is popular with the local and business communities.
